Man... been playing since almost the beginning and I can't think of any time where I had an actual question. o.O

*thinks for a while*

Ok, here's one that's pretty relevant. In most games of this type, there's large areas where you can perform tasks that have no real meaning towards the regular game, or give you some kind of advantage (however minimal). This could be anything from the games during the Dragon Festival (only year round) to character specific crafting abbilities (like in WoW), or in a more extreme example, the care of pets/animals in game (like the Grunties from the .hack series).

My question: Is there any specific reason that you didn't include any of these features in Guild Wars, and left the game for a pure combat experience? Not that I'm complaining, I like the combat system, but I sometimes wonder what I should do when I don't feel like fighting a thousand mobs (an exageration, I know, but that's my point: fighting shouldn't be everything).

Thanks for making such an awesome game, though. Just the fighting I'm now complaining about has kept me going for a long, LONG time. It's just not quite enough anymore.

I feel there's a plethora of mediocre (or some might argue flat-out bad) skills that a player really has no reason to use. This is especially a problem with some of the skills that have ridiculous conditionals with rewards that just aren't worth setting them up.

Are there any steps the designers plan on taking to reduce bloating the skill pool with more of these skills and what do they plan on doing about current skills that don't do anything but make players chuckle and groan?

With the MMORPG market constantly growing and expanding, competition I'm sure is very strong. Will Guild Wars ever see a game engine over-haul that puts it back at the top of the market in terms of innovative game-mechanics?

Or is blizzard just going to dominate the market forever?

Is there a possiblity of adding more Elite or raid type missions? They are fun to do after you have completed the game and are awaiting the next chapter but there are painfully too few.

1) What are the reasons that the two most serious issues in GuildWars STILL haven't been addressed after almost 2 years? (I'm talking about the lack of a trade system (-> WTS/WTB spam) and the lack of a party formation system (-> LFG/LFM spam).) Really, I'd like to know and understand the reason, cause I'm really mad about it.

2) What is your vision of GuildWars 5 years from now? How much longer will the business model of two campaigns per year be able to sustain itself?

3) Why does the inscription on the statue of Dwayna read "115 BE" when it describes something that happened more than 100 years later?

1. Why did you change tombs to 6 v 6 ?
2. When are you going to implement a LFG system ?
3. Why do i get lvl 2 heroes when i come with tyrian/canthan char to Elona.
4. Not a question, but a sugesstion: change the sunspear general quest to rank6. Grinding sunspear points with lvl 5 heroes is not fun.

A bunch O' questions: Any plans to make a weapons mod trader?
Any plans to make weapons completely designable at crafters? Like choose your inscription, sword hilt/bow string/damage type (for staff or rods), wrappins, grips, and all the rest? Adjust the pricing to what is chosen and maybe even for a little more make it gold or something or be able to name it? That'd be cool.
Some sort of minimum pricing index at traders might be nice too. Since the more desirable runes got farmed to death (by the way that wasn't me I still can't farm runes, I get them from random drops), but you don't want a superior rune of absorption to be worth 600g do you? I don't, I used to be excited when I picked one up.

Ever thought about Surprise quests/missions? As in suddenly a quest for people who own *certain game* can be done but will be removed say.. 1 week later?

Eg. The New Confessor
A new confessor has taken up the mantle and wishes to control the titans.
Stop the confessor by
1) Raiding D'Alessio Seabord Barracks
2) Getting Allies from Shiverpeaks
3) Sieging the New Onyx Gate at Abaddon's Mouth till *new confessor* is captured and the door sealed.

New continents in new chapters mean many new towns and outposts. This leaves quite a few outposts, most especially lesser used ones, in previous chapters very (or completely) empty. Examples like Maguuma Stade and Aurios Mines. Would you ever consider merging districts, such as the European and American districts, and Korean and Japanese districts (for example), so people are less scarce in some of these locations? It could be done when the player population in certain regional districts falls below a certain level. Language could be a problem, though. And not that there is much to do in Stade, but other outposts do contain activities and it's kinda lonely seeing you're the only person, of all the people on the American server, in a particular town, and further not being able to group with people even if you wanted to.

The Main 1 Question:

- Is there ever going to be an emote/visual for having "Kind of a Big Deal"? See petition



As this thread is read by a Anet Representative, I have a couple of bugs \ annoyences that I would like to adress.

- When are XP scrolls gonna stack? (They have the same problem as the dye's had, ea NF scrolls don't stack with Tyrian\Canthan scrolls.

- When Will the nf titles be integrated to the title system. In which I mean in order of Carto Tyria, Cantha, Elona. Prot Tyria, cantha , Elona. This instead of all the new titles just at the bottom. (Maybe even having open and close buttons for character and account based titles like the quest log. Beats scrolling all the way down ). Also see thread.

- When will the quest log have a memory of which tabs are open, and which are closed per char. (Atm I have a boat load of quests on my ranger from tyria and cantha, but I only want to do the NF quests. This means everytime I log on I have to close all the other ones. Just a small annoyence)


Also I have 2 Suggestions:

- When will a Dye Storage Tab be introduced? (Scrolls could be integraded in that too , and Keys for that Matter)

- Introduce an account based "Hero Storage tab". Every Item in there will be an instanced for a hero on any char. This means when I put a sword in to the storage tab, my ranger's koss will get an instance of that weapon. But so does my monk's koss. When the item is taken out of storage, it will disapaer on the hero's. In this way the hero's share equipment as they share skills. But you don't have the need of a) Switching weapons between hero's when u logon on a different char. b) it will be a much cheaper instead of buying (trading collectors) for all the hero's.

Was Lightbringer implemented to accomodate for those wanting a higher level cap? Its current gameplay mechanics are very similar as having a high character level.

Why change a loved game type like Heroes Ascent from the way most people new and loved it?

Will there be new storage tabs one day eg Armor Storage and Dye Storage?

Will Heroes ever be removed/reduced in Heroes Ascent?

When changes are going to be made could there be some sort of "voting" system where by everybody per each account can place a vote on a change that might be inplaced? (im talking about things like the change of Heroes Ascent etc, because unless an idea posted on suggestions is totally rediculous people who post in suggestions etc and agree to a proposed suggestion dont always bother to disagree, also it doesnt represt the entire GW community.)

What is in the works as to restoring Ascalon and going to Drascir the main Capital of Ascalon?There a 1 question as you asked and I hope it gets aswered as there have been a few threads on this.
